Video transcript:

“My name is Joseph Benson and I just completed my career diploma in Computer Network Security and I am currently enrolled right now for my associates degree in computer information systems. I’m gonna go ahead and get my bachelor’s degree and keep working my way up in the computer science field and see where it takes me.

I’m in my mid-fourties and been in law enforcement for eleven years and would like to have something to fall back on just in case and I’ve always been interested in it. And it’s not like you’re sitting in a boring classroom- it’s your own personal experience and that’s what I’ve enjoyed. You can do what you want to do and take break. You know what you need to do, come back and you’re not missing anything- lectures, notes.

I looked at one college in particular that was in Colorado, they wanted $50,000 in tuition. This tuition you cannot beat it. I’ve done research on other colleges, online and stuff and this is the best I’ve found and it’s very affordable.

I just heard other people talk about them and what they still paying for college after getting out, I don’t think they’ve gained anything better than what I’ve been gaining. You had a faster pace, just like your associates degree. You can knock it out in a year if you wanted to, depends on how fast you wanna work.

I’m excited, nervous, I’ve never walked across a college stage before or wore the uniform. I’m very excited and looking forward to it.
